Block·ade: an act or means of sealing off a place to prevent goods or people from entering or leaving.
This was the third class of the semester discussing what a blockade is, how to do a blockade via direct action as well as different tactics.
Trainer: James Brady – Whose been involved with direct action activism since about 1992. A current volunteer as a blockades and climb trainer for Ruckus Society, Students to Free Tibet, Earth First!, and Rising Tide. As well as employed by Greenpeace where he recruits, trains, and offers continuing development to activists wanting to engage in direct action.
