Nagasaki Candlelight Vigil 2013

A candle lit outside of the 24 hour white house anti-nuclear peace vigil burns, remember the genocide in Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Japan.

This year marked the 68th anniversary of the dropping of an atomic bomb on the Japanese city of Nagasaki. The bomb, named “Fat Man,” was the first plutonium bomb ever to be deployed, and followed the Aug. 6 dropping of the uranium bomb “Little Boy” on Hiroshima. There was a moment of silence at 10:02 pm when the bomb dropped.
